Warning! Scottish springtime cuteness alert
No sooner had the clocks moved forward than the last vestiges of winter flung themselves at the residents of Scotland. The blizzards swept through on Tuesday and into the night, leaving my beloved and I caked in snow as we walked the 20 minutes home from the theatre.
But today was different. Despite the remaining chill in the air, the sun shone and there is every reason to believe that spring is finally here. The buds are beginning to burst from the trees, the daffodils will recover and bloom bright yellow on the hillsides, and around Scotland, lambs and calves are being born.
My boss and his wife are celebrating the arrival of two highland bull calves who will soon be coming to live with them. At the risk of making some of you melt into the floor due to the overwhelming power of their cuteness, I had to share these images.
Welcome to springtime in Scotland.
